A mobile app in development for licensed taxi and private-hire drivers.

Purpose of the app

CabRadar is currently in development. The purpose of the CabRadar app is to provide taxi and private-hire drivers with insights on where they can find demand and traffic disruptions to avoid, so they can plan their workday more effectively.

In development, CabRadar is a mobile application for licensed taxi and private-hire drivers. It is being built to show road disruptions, public transport issues, events, inspector activity, and community-submitted traffic reports on an interactive map.

CabRadar is in development for Android and iOS. Everything described on this page is publicly viewable and does not require an account.

What the app is being built to do

• Display live and recent road disruption and traffic information relevant to drivers.
• Show public transport disruptions and major events that may affect routes.
• Let you view your location on a map and open external navigation apps.
• Allow signed-in users to submit road disruption reports.
• Send optional push notifications about relevant updates when you enable them.

Sign-in and Google user data

Sign-in is optional. In development, you can use CabRadar without an account for many features, but some features (such as submitting reports and syncing your session) require authentication.

If you choose Continue with Google, CabRadar uses Google Sign-In through Firebase Authentication. We request access to basic Google account information so we can:

• Create and secure your CabRadar account.
• Identify you when you sign in on a new device.
• Associate reports and app activity with your account.
• Contact you about your account if needed (using your email address).

When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, and Google account identifier (and profile picture URL if provided by Google). We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, or other Google services. We do not sell Google user data.

CabRadar's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Other permissions

With your permission, the app in development may access device location to show nearby disruptions and support map features, and push notifications to alert you to relevant updates. You can deny or revoke these permissions in your device settings at any time.

Deleting your account and data

You can ask us to delete your CabRadar account and associated personal data at any time by emailing hellocabradar@gmail.com with the subject "Account deletion request". We action verified requests within 30 days. Full details are in section 9 of our Privacy Policy. You can also revoke CabRadar's access to your Google account from your Google Account permissions page.
