This Privacy Policy describes how CabRadar ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and deletes information when you use the CabRadar mobile application and our website at cabradar-web.pages.dev (the "Service").
This policy applies to all users. It explains our practices in plain language so you can understand what data we collect and your choices.
CabRadar is a mobile app for licensed taxi and private-hire drivers. We provide traffic, disruption, and transport-related information.
Data controller contact: hellocabradar@gmail.com
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
If you choose to sign in with Google, CabRadar uses Google Sign-In via Firebase Authentication. Google shares the following information with us for authentication purposes only:
How we use Google user data:
What we do not do with Google user data:
Google's use of information is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can revoke CabRadar's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions page.
If you sign in with an email magic link instead of Google, we collect your email address to send a one-time sign-in link and to maintain your account. We store your email locally on your device during the sign-in process and in our authentication system after sign-in completes.
We use trusted providers to operate the Service. They process data on our behalf only as needed:
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers above, when required by law, or to protect rights and safety. User-submitted disruption reports may be visible to other app users.
We retain account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward unless you request deletion. Technical logs are retained for a limited period needed for security and operations.
You can request deletion of your CabRadar account and associated personal data at any time:
You may also revoke Google Sign-In access directly in your Google Account settings. Revoking Google access prevents future sign-in but may not delete data already stored in CabRadar — email us for full deletion.
Deleting your account may remove access to features that require sign-in and may not delete user-submitted reports that have already been shared with other users, where removal would affect service integrity.
Depending on your location (including UK/EEA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your data, and to data portability. Contact hellocabradar@gmail.com to exercise these rights. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Location and notifications are used only with your device permission. You can disable them in device settings at any time.
We use HTTPS encryption and industry-standard authentication practices. No system is completely secure.
The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Data may be processed in countries where our providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards where required.
We may update this policy and will post changes on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
